Summer ...So Far

My parents came for two weeks and were able to go to one of Sam's T-ball games. Sam got dressed for the game at my parent's house and my Dad ran into his room after he saw Sam and came out wearing the same shirt. Sam thought it was great, but said that Grandpa was too big to play on his team!

They even have the same number!

At the beginning of June Sam took part in BYU's Mini Cub Soccer Camp. Melissa came up from California for the camp too. This is Sam and Tanner with their coach.

Here's an action shot,

Everyday before soccer camp we planned a fun activity. Here we are at the Dinosaur Museum.
This is my little angel at the Church History Museum. The best part of this trip was that we happened to run into Andrew's Aunt Kathy who works as a volunteer at the museum

Claire was so thrilled to be trapped in her car seat for all of these activities. Poor kid!

However, Claire + Oreo = Forgiveness
This is all of the neighbors making cards and candy necklaces for their Dads for Father's day

We have also spent countless hours running through the sprinklers with the neighbors, doing yard work, walking to the park, jumping on the trampoline, and eating Popsicles. Last week we took our first trip to the City Pool. Sam and Lauren had so much fun splashing around. Sam wanted to go down the water slide. I swam around to the bottom of the slide to catch them. I looked up at Sam who who wore a petrified expression and said, "I don't think I want to go down." No sooner did the words leave his mouth than I see Lauren shove him out of the way and go flying down the slide. She proceeded to go down about six or seven more times. When I got home and took off my swimsuit I was horrified, and not for all the obvious reason you might think. I got the WORST sunburn. My thighs had not seen the sun in about a year. (The sun has thanked me for this by the way). For most of the two and half hours that we were there I sat on the edge of the pool, so my sunburn runs from the top of my knees to my swimsuit line and only on the front of my thighs. I look like a total fool. Sorry no picture. I wasn't sure how to capture the full effect without distributing pornography. And by porn, I don't mean the kind you would pay for either. I've had three kids, enough said!

LOL! Sounds like a doozy of a sunburn. Yikes! I bet that hurt like a mother having anything, like say clothes, rub against it everytime you walked, sat down, moved at all...

Looks and sounds like you guys have had a fun summer so far. The picture of Sam with your dad was great! Too cute.

Love your Dad! Love the stories. Why is it that I love stories where you are hurt or burnt? I really do love you and do not wish you harm.

Your dad should be on the team, he's just a big kid.
